Our Goals
Supporting the Community
We aim to improve the lives of black communities across demographics, intersections, and needs by creating and supporting systems of care outside capitalist structures. We aim to build and work with existing reciprocal exchanges of resources and services for mutual benefit, or mutual aid.
Among the efforts we work in this vein are clothing giveaways, hot food giveaways, free grocery and produce distributions, tree plot data collection for tree planting with the Park Department, and hygiene product donations.
Collaborators
Among the mutual aid organizations we’ve partnered with are Bedstuy Strong, Brooklyn Grange, Cleanup Crown Heights, Collective Focus, Crown Heights Mutual Aid, Compassion Prison Project, EndQINY, Gotham Food Pantry, We Are Not Afraid, Ourfood NYC, STEPS to End Family Violence, The NYC Community Fridge Network, Collective Focus Resource Hub, Riders for Black Lives and The Gym.
March Partners include Blasian March, The Stonewall Protests, UniteNY2020, Black Women’s March, BREATHE, and MBR Cycling.
